Voigt in Yellow in the Time Trial

[16.08 16:39] Jens Voigt will be riding in the yellow jersey when the decisive Deutschland Tour individual time trial starts on Friday. That is the situation after the field finished together once more in the 192-kilometre seventh stage from Kufstein to Regensburg.

The stage ended in a mass sprint, which for the second day in a row was won by Gerald Ciolek (T-Mobile) and changed nothing in any of the top positions.

"It went the way we wanted it. It was a bit harder today than yesterday, because there were five riders in the early breakaway and one of them was only just over five minutes behind in the overall position. So we set Volodymir Gustov, Alexandr Kolobnev and JJ Haedo to work on catching them up, and the sprinter teams – especially T-Mobile – also gave us a hand, so there were no serious problems," reported sports director Kim Andersen after the stage.
