Klostergaard Injured

[06.10 18:10] A knee injury meant that Kasper Klostergaard had to abandon Circuit Franco-Belge during Saturday's 188-kilometer stage from Bray-Dunes to Poperinge.

"He doesn't quite know what's caused it, but it's been giving him a lot of pain during the last couple of days. He hasn't been involved in any crashes lately so it can't be that. If there's no improvement over the next few days Kasper will have to end his season a little earlier than originally planned," said sports director Scott Sunderland after the third stage.

About the race itself Sunderland had the following comment:

"We can tell that everyone's a bit fatigued now that the season is coming to an end. Fabian Cancellara was the only one, who had anything to give out there today, but he's only doing this race as preparation for Paris-Tours next weekend so he wasn't going for a result really."
