The first year with Team CSC Chris came 6th in Tour of Germany and showed very promising riding. 2008 saw Chris winning stage 7 of Dauphiné Libéré after a fantastic stage and at the World Championship he helped team mate Matti Breschel to a bronze medal.
In 2009 Chris started and finished the Tour de France for the first time. In the mountain stages he proved to be a valuable helper for Team Saxo Banks captain, Andy Schleck. In the last race of the year Chris showed his strength by winning Japan Cup.
