TEAM CSC 2007 MECHANICS

Name: Alejandro Torralbo

Country: Spain

Team CSC's Spanish mechanic Alejandro Torralbo has been with the team since 2003, but has worked in his field for a long time.

I started back in 1978 as a mechanic for the Clas-Cajastur Team, where I was for many years - also when they became Mapei. Later I switched to Banesto and actually worked for Miguel Indurain and Abraham Olano, before going to work for Festina in 1998. The last teams I was with, before joining Team CSC, were Team Coast and Team Bianchi, explains Torralbo, who has tried a bit of everything within the cycling sport.

Torralbo went straight from school in Spain to being a mechanic and has never worked at a normal bike shop.

I started fixing bikes already when I was nine. I went with my dad to some races and we fixed the bikes afterwards. I've done some racing myself, but not as a pro or anything like that.

I enjoy working with the team very much. I'm used to things being very organized and professional from my previous jobs, and at Team CSC it's the same way. Everything from the staff, the organization to the equipment is top range, are the praising words from Torralbo.
