The Return of Stuart O'Grady

[04.10 19:57] Sunday October 14th Stuart O'Grady makes an earlier than expected comeback, when Team CSC's Australian participates in the Herald Sun Tour after having been away for three months.

The race has seven stages plus a 1.7-kilometer prologue and will take place in Bendigo, Australia.

Team CSC is not actually participating in this race, but O'Grady has managed to get a spot on a team. However he stresses that he's ambitions for an overall result are not exactly sky high.

"I'm just going to see whether I can get through each individual stage really. It would be great training for me ahead of next season, where Tour Down Under and the Australian Championships in three months are high on my list. At the same time I'm happy to get the opportunity to take part in a race like this, because normally I would never get the chance to do so. It enables me to give something back to the sport," says O'Grady.

A couple of weeks ago O'Grady explained how a trip to Denmark to receive treatment from SDS therapist Kalle Flebbe did wonders and that after the treatment he was able to train normally again and this is one of the reasons for his speedy recovery.

"I'm a little worried about how it's gonna work out though. I'm under no illusions about the overall victory or a good overall result at all. I just wanna make it all the way through and get my body back into the swing of things," concludes O'Grady.
