Audi Signs on as Team CSC Car Sponsor
Team CSC manager Bjarne Riis is a believer in using high-end technology for his cycling team. That approach now will extend to the vehicles following the team in races, thanks to a new car sponsorship the team has signed with Audi for the 2004 cycling season. The contract means that Audi Denmark will supply the cars for Team CSC's sport directors and team staff.
According to Riis, the yearlong vehicle sponsorship is a prestigious one for the cycling team. "The Audi contract ensures that we will be supplied with very good cars and that we are working with a highly respected auto maker," Riis said. "We are very proud to be able to attract sponsors on this level and the entire team is looking forward to representing Audi and the qualities that this brand name stands for. It has always been our ambition to have the best equipment for our team and the new cooperation with Audi fits nicely with this strategy."
Audi Denmark is enthusiastic about its new cooperation with Team CSC. "We look forward to working with Bjarne Riis and his team," said Audi's Danish sponsor manager, Bente M. Kloevgaard. "They have a very professional and ambitious team, which is very goal oriented. The team spirit reflects the fact that Team CSC is an international team with strong Danish roots. Our ambition is to be at the very front of the sport, and with our new cooperation we hope that we will be able to ensure that the team will be rolling even better in the future."
Team CSC will use Audi A6 Avant wagons, in various engine sizes.
